Since football season is arguably the best television to watch, it’s the perfect time of the year to host your ultimate watch party. You might prefer college or NFL football, or you may just like football games for the social aspect. No matter your reason for watching the games, it’s always fun to enjoy them with your friends and with these helpful tips you’ll be able to throw the best football watch party imaginable.
1. Invite Your Friends
Make sure to send an invitation to your football friends but don’t over invite, consider the space you have available in your home and the noise that could come with a bigger crowd.
The easiest and most casual way of inviting your guests would be over the phone but if you wanted to make the party a little more festive you could create an email invite or an actual invitation. Getting creative with these is always fun, see below for some festive ideas.

2. Provide Ample Seating
Your guests are there to watch the game so make sure that each of them can see the TV comfortably during the game. You might have to re-position some of your furniture around the room to accommodate everyone.
3. Decorations
Decorate for the occasion! If you’re cheering on a specific team, try to have some decorations that support your team and their colors. A welcome banner, cheering signs and festive foam fingers are always fun and festive for your guests to enjoy. Also having napkins, cups and plates in your team colors can really set your decor over the top.

4. Food & Drinks
Easy party foods like chips and dip, pizza, mini sandwiches and other fingers foods work best and are easy on you as the host. You can also fire up the grill for bigger bites but plan accordingly so you don’t miss kick-off.
During the game you want to make sure it is easy for your guests to eat the delicious food you have prepared by spreading it out in your kitchen and on tables around the room in a buffet style. This will help prevent disturbances while watching the game. Also make sure you have a designated refreshment area. By spreading the food and drinks out you help spread your guests and this prevents from everyone trying to be in the same place at once.
Stock up! It’s better to have extra food and drinks just in case your guests come extra hungry or thirsty.

5. Game Time Games
While some of us enjoy football games we understand that not everyone shares the same excitement. What can make a watch party more fun? Creating a fun game that your guests can play while watching the game can get everyone excited!
1) Football BINGO will have all your guests interested and engaged in the game. Who knows it might even get those uninterested guests to learn a little more about the game and become fans.
We have put together a few cards for you here. Now all you need is a pen/marker to mark your BINGO boxes.
2) The NFL Mascot Matching Game is something everyone can enjoy! Simply match the mascot with the correct NFL team. For example, if you think the mascot of the Houston Texans is Toro put the letter in front of team. Click here to print a free Mascot Trivia Game.

Hopefully these tips will help you and your friends enjoy your watch party.
