Last year GE introduced a new Matte Collection of appliances under their Café brand. With these new appliances Café takes center stage in any modern kitchen with their unique finishes and customizable hardware. The finishes currently available are matte white, matte black and stainless-steel. On nearly every piece in the Café Matte Collection, you have the option to change your hardware to 1 of 4 different hardware finishes. Those finish options are:
Gives you a gentle shimmer of stainless steel.
This black has a slight sheen to make your appliances shine.
This muted version of bronze mixes well with almost any color palette.
You will get the warmth of copper without too much gleam giving your appliances a rosy glow.
You will also notice that on all Café products with a bar you will also find their branding badge. This piece cannot be removed and only comes in this copper color.
Café’s 36” Dual-Fuel Slide-In Range surface gives you edge-to-edge cooking with six versatile burners and an integrated griddle. The cooktop control knobs are backlit to notify you when a burner is turned on. The double oven below lets you prepare different foods at different temperatures at the exact same time. The LED control panel makes it easy to select the oven settings you want and visually disappears when not in use.
Their 36” Professional Range combines True European convection technology with 6 electric heating elements inside a 5.75cuft. oven cavity. Plus, six full-range burners that can go all the way from delicate simmering to a powerful sear for precise cooktop control. Their reversible burner grates also let you go from flat cookware to round bottom cookware like woks in no time, all you have to do is flip your grate over.
Café offers stylish refrigerators with the features you want. All Café refrigerators are French Door style, but you have a few other options beyond that. You can get these refrigerators in standard depth or counter depth along with no door dispenser or with a Keurig K-Cup Brewing system dispenser (as seen in a previous Laura Report) or their Hot Water dispenser. These Café French door refrigerators all have a bottom freezer, ice makers, LED lighting, spacious interiors, and flexible storage options.

Your silverware will also sparkle thanks to their Deep Clean Silverware Jets that ensure every utensil comes out looking immaculate. These dishwashers all come with a stainless-steel interior and range from 40-45dBA in sound, which is pretty quiet!
GE is a leader in WiFi-connected appliance technology and a good number of their Café appliances are WiFi capable. With this connected suite of appliances, you can monitor and maintain your kitchen from near or far using their voice or mobile devices. You can turn your oven on to preheat, warm water in your refrigerator door dispenser and track your dishwasher detergent needs all from their Café app. Connected appliance are also updated remotely with new capabilities and can assess their own performance, allowing for unparalleled service.
GOURMET GUIDED COOKING
The new Café induction cooktops and ranges provide cooks the ability to create flawless gourmet recipes with confidence through Hestan Cue. The Café app has partnered with Hestan Cue. This feature gives you a temperature sensing pan that allows Bluetooth technology to communicate with the burner on your cooktop. The Café app can automatically adjust the heat as needed while monitoring the cook time as you proceed through each recipe step. There is a ‘Control Mode’ feature in the app that helps you set the burner to a precise temperature. They have even created a comprehensive reference guide that puts a number to terms like “medium-high heat”.
